Before Ubisoft reworks the first Far Cry, take a look at what such a fan project, called FarCrysis X, looks like. Far Cry from 2004 was graphically such an advanced game for its time that it still doesn't look bad today - in certain aspects. But someone wondered what that cult shooter would look like in new versions of the CryEngine launcher so we got a project called FarCrysis X. As you can guess from the name, this project combines the graphics of Crysis and the structure of Far Cry. Although the two games share a similar environment, a lot of things are different between them, so a modder nicknamed Flowgroover has a lot of work ahead of him. These days he has rolled out the first version of the three-map mode (training, Fort, and Pier) and the rest should follow later.
